Unfortunately, the original time has changed from 7pm to the classic 1pm. It was a selfish move on my part, but I just found out yesterday that my uncle (from Reno, Nevada!) and pep-pep are coming to pick me up in Ann Arbor and we’re having supper together Saturday evening. I really wanted to go on the ride, so I just changed the time. Sorry for those of you who were counting on the 7pm ride.
The deets:
- May 30th, 2009
- 1PM. Yes, that’s ONE O’ CLOCK. Not 7 o’clock.
- Clocktower at Pioneer
- NO THEME
- We’re celebrating Matthew’s new bicycle that he ordered from eBay. It should arrive via FedEx sometime today (He named it Clover).
- Buy Matthew some bubble tea or something
- Maybe make him a present.
- Give him a hug.
- Make him a card.
- This is one of the last rides of the school year… the time is now, to join PBRS.
MATT MAYFIELD THIS IS THE RIDE FOR YOU!

will NOT be in the usual location of C-205; instead, we will be taking advantage of the lovely weather by holding our meetings outside!
The location is sort of hard to explain, since I don’t think there is a concrete name for it. If you know where the library on D-2 is, then it should be easy. Outside (like outdoors) of that little lobby area in front of the library, there are some bike racks and purple tables and benches. That is where our Thursday lunch meetings will be held from now on. We’ll refer to it as Table Oasis or Bike Rack City.
Thanks for your continued commitment during this academically stressful time,
Zac Zellers
UPDATE: It’s wet and raining, the meeting will be held in C-205… as a rule of thumb from now on:
sunny weather = meeting outside
crappy weather = C-205

Well howdy partners! PBRS is having an Olde West style ride tomorrow, and we was hoping y’all could get dressed up in your best bib and tucker, hop on your bike saddle, and head on out to the ol’ PHS Clocktower at 1pm tomorrow.
Dean Parrish is the sherriff in town and he’s huntin’ for the most wanted outlaws in the whole wide west!
So come on out, we don’t care if your bike is ace-high or just some crowbait. We’re just lookin’ for some curly wolves who’re willin’ to ride hard and have some fun like it’s a whorehouse on a nickel-night!
Here’s the Simon pure without all the cowboy slang:
- Saturday, May 9th at 1PM
- PHS Clocktower
- RAIN OR SHINE!
- Wear your most Western style garb.
- Make up a Wild West nick-name for yourself. i.e. “Wild Wesley”, “Sally Saddler” or “Giddy-Up Gus”
- Feel free to bring props like plastic revolvers and cap-guns.
- Best costume/nick-name wins a Sherriff’s badge.
Fine-tune your cowboy slang here.

…the following notions were aknowledged:
- Introductions of all the members
- Mixing 1 part skim milk with 1 part whole milk yields 2 parts 2% milk
Also, our first bike ride will be on SATURDAY, MARCH 28. We will meet up at the clock tower at Pioneer on our bikes. We will depart to our to-be-determined destination by 4:30 pm— try and get there at 4 though.
Thanks to everyone who showed up. You were all a dashingly attractive group of kids. We still have a lot of milk leftover if anyone’s interested, too.
luv u lotz,
Zac Zellers

On the bottom right of each post there should be a link that reads “X Comments”. Click on that and you will be able to leave a comment on any post.
There is no need to register for anything, but I’ve added a Facebook Connect button so that you can comment using your Facebook profile. It should also publish stories to your wall saying that you commented here. It’s pretty legit. Try it on out.

That’s right, March 26th is 14 days away. And now that the MMEs are over for you juniors, there’s NO excuse for not devoting the entirety of these next two weeks to getting super-hype and telling all your friends about our first meeting.
Also, despite the posters up around the halls, I’ve still been getting a lot of questions asking when the society will start. So again, it’s on MARCH 26th DURING LUNCH IN ROOM C-205!
Capisci?
Finally, all those posters that some of you so graciously designed will be printed and pasted up in the halls AFTER our first meeting. They’ll be respectfully changed to say “Thursdays at lunch” instead of “March 26th at lunch”. This way, all of your fine work can stay in the halls forever! Sorry if you were expecting to see them up sooner.
luv u lotz,
Zac Zellers

The Pioneer Bicycle Riders Society has 5 laws that you must respect:
- Be safe! Look out for yourself, as well as your fellow riders and pedestrians.
- Have fun! Enjoy yourself without being a douchebag.
- Look around you! Know where you are and what you’re doing… don’t be actin’ the foo’!
- Respect! Love everybody.
- School Rules! Try your best to abide by the fair and justified rules our great administration has set in place. At least be sneaky about it when you break them. We don’t want the school shuttin’ us down!
Break any of these rules and you’ll be severely consequence’d by Mr. White! Also, our society’s life will be in jeopardy if we don’t respect administration. Please be angels.

This is the webpage for the Pioneer Bicycle Riders Society. We are a student organization that is fond of bicycle riding.
Our mission is: to promote a healthy world as well as a healthy individual, in the form of bicycle riding.
Here are some basic information:
- Our first meeting will be on Thursday, MARCH 26TH
- It will meet in Frau Tackett’s room during lunch on Thursdays after that. That’s room C-205.
- Everyone is welcome to come!
Our meetings should go like this:
- One meeting during lunch per week. These will plan the events and adventures for the rest of the week— until the next meeting.
- Our after school events will be discussed/planned during our lunch meetings and will also be posted on this website as well as the Facebook group every week.
- The amount of rides we do per week will vary on the general mood/motivation of our society.
I hope everyone can make it to the first meeting! Don’t forget that there will be free milk if you come.
-Zac Zellers, society founder
